Lucca medieval walls have been built by middle XVI and end of XVII Century, and are a fortified system that is still intact nowadays. Its peculiar fortification creates a tight link with city life. During XVII and XVII Century it’s been changed into a “urban promenade”, with benches, tables for picnics, fountains and children playgrounds.

On the ancient wall in September there is the “Murabilia Flower Show” an urban gardening exhibition and market dedicated to the green world in all its forms. Displaying a wide range of rare and unique plants and flowers, it hosts high quality garden furniture, handcraft pots, baskets, clothes, gardening equipment as well as specialized magazines and publications.

In co-operation with the Botanical Gardens of Lucca, this annual garden show is an important event for amateurs of gardening holidays.
The show will feature many exhibitors including nurseries and specialist growers from all over Europe able to suggest a new gardening ideas. This year the fair’s theme is “Rose Gardening, Hosta, Aloe, Red plants and flowers”.
