The URBAN WALLS OF LOCATION OF THE LUCCA MARATHON
For fans of racing is a dream. The "Lucca Marathon" will transform the city and its territory for one day (October 26th) in the national capital of running with an exceptional location: the beautiful city walls chosen for "the way" in the race. The marathon, will be run over a distance of 42,195 km.
The Path: departure is from the walls, and after a stretch on the 'circle with trees' and of the streets of the historical center of Lucca, the runners will come out from the ellipse to cross Marlia, Lammari, Segromigno, Porcari and Capannori, then return to Lucca with arrival athletes in the charming Piazza San Michele.
The maximum time to complete the route was fixed by the organizers in 6 hours. All athletes who will arrive at the finish line will be entitled to a medal. On the day of the event will be awarded to the top three winners in the category men and three women who will cut to the first strand of wool.
